We Are All Born Psychic

Do you believe you have a psychic gift? Many people profess to have “psychic powers”, and the general impression is that these “powers” are something you are born with, and not something developed without at least a modicum of natural talent.

Have you ever gotten “vibes” from a place the first time you went to it? Or from a person the first time you met them? Most often these “vibes” are telling you something negative- you feel a survival instinct telling you go the other way. Your “gut” feeling that people often refer to is in fact your sixth sense.

Those vibes you get, on their most simplistic level, are showing you that you were born with a psychic sixth sense. This is the type of psychic power that shows up the most widely because it is so deeply tied to the survival instinct. Our body and brain know the warning signs of a bad person or place or situation, and since it’s instinctual we make the mistake of dismissing these instincts as a normal human response. It’s simply biology, right? There is no magic behind it.

Right?

Those who believe you have to be born with psychic powers are not completely wrong. You do have to be born with them, but guess what- almost everybody is born with them! Some people are just born with more natural psychic affinity. Just as some of us naturally have keener hearing, eye sight, or a sense of smell, psychic intuition is no different.

Well, it’s a little different in that there are things you can do to make it stronger, more like a natural talent than a physical sense. It blurs the line between natural sense and natural skill.

No matter how hard I try, there is little I can do to improve my eye sight without surgical intervention (I use my fun funky glasses as an excuse to avoid the risks of Lasix, despite how safe and popular it is). But if I were born with a natural ear for music that makes me good at plucking out melodies on a piano, you wouldn’t say that I was born with a heightened sense of hearing. It has more to do with some natural affinity towards music. Someone born with a natural affinity towards music does not make MOST people born with the skill of Beethoven. Maybe I have a natural affinity, so I take some piano lessons in grade school. Now I can play a few classics, slowly and carefully. Maybe I stick with it through high school and now I’m rather adept at playing piano. Then I go off and study business in college, and piano remains a fun skill that brings me pleasure. Or maybe I stick with piano all the way through, work my ass off, and become a professional pianist. I’m like that dude in Mozart in the Jungle where I make my living playing piano in symphony halls and I wear special gloves so I don’t damage my hands, because I’m artistic and eccentric and junk.

Do you get where I am going with this? Psychic development is similar to this in that some people are born with more of a natural affinity. Some of us practice as children and teens, and it becomes an intriguing skill as an adult that we maybe don’t talk about much because we don’t want people to think we are weird. Maybe we only use it personally, quietly, to our own advantage and/or the advantage of our loved ones (there is nothing wrong with that). Maybe we feel an irresistible desire to master it, we go to training classes in Sedona (I need to go there some day. It’s like the new age capital or something from everything I hear), and then maybe we next level it and study with a famous medium, and then we become a famous medium ourselves, and we do readings for celebrities and have our own reality show!

Maybe you were born with just a little psychic affinity, but you thought everyone was like that. It’s normal, right? We all get “gut feelings” and “vibes” sometimes. Right? The untrained musician with the natural ear may think “Oh, I mean most people can hear a song and hum back the main chorus.” Maybe. Maybe most people don’t do it as well as you though. Or as often as you. Maybe as a kid you never did take piano lessons even though you were interested, and now as an adult you still like to pluck a tune out on a keyboard when you see one. What do you think could happen if you took piano lessons now? How far could you develop your skills?

Everyone is born with at least some natural psychic power. Some people are born with more, and some less, but no matter how much you are born with, there is a potential to grow your abilities in strength with practice. So if everyone is born with psychic powers, why can’t I see the future? You ask. The cheeky answer is Maybe you can and you don’t know it yet! Seeing future events is a very advanced level of psychic ability, and not something that everyone will be able to attain, even with extensive practice.

However there are many “psychic powers” or intuitive powers that you may already be using without being aware of them. Just like your “gut instinct” you may be dismissing your natural psychic sense as the typical human experience.
